Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Effective date: June 14, 2026
Last updated: June 14, 2026
BLOOM RISE MEDIA LLC (“Bloom Rise Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the “GDPR”), the UK GDPR, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws. This page identifies our Data Protection Officer (DPO) function, explains its responsibilities, tells you how to get in touch, and describes your right to lodge a complaint. It complements our Privacy Policy and our Data Deletion Instructions.
1. Our Data Protection Officer
Bloom Rise Media has designated a Data Protection Officer function responsible for overseeing how we collect, use, store, and share personal data and for monitoring our compliance with the GDPR and other data-protection laws. We identify this contact by role rather than by an individual name so that you always reach the person currently responsible, even if staffing changes.
You can reach our Data Protection Officer at:
Data Protection Officer
BLOOM RISE MEDIA LLC
Fairfax, Virginia 22030
United States
Email: contact@bloomrisemedia.com (subject line “Data Protection Officer”)
Phone: 804 533 1119
2. How to contact the DPO
Email is the fastest way to reach the DPO. Please use the subject line “Data Protection Officer” and include enough information for us to understand and verify your request:
- Your name and the email, phone number, or account associated with the data.
- A clear description of your question, concern, or the right you wish to exercise.
- If your request relates to a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) integration, the relevant Page, account, or form.
We acknowledge data-protection inquiries promptly and respond within 30 days (up to 45 days for complex requests, with notice). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request that concerns personal data.
3. Responsibilities of the DPO
Consistent with Article 39 of the GDPR, the responsibilities of our Data Protection Officer include:
- Informing and advising Bloom Rise Media and its staff about their obligations under the GDPR and other data-protection laws.
- Monitoring compliance with those laws and with our internal data-protection policies, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising, staff training, and related audits.
- Providing advice, where requested, on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and monitoring their performance.
- Cooperating with the competent supervisory authority and acting as its point of contact on issues relating to processing.
- Acting as the contact point for data subjects on all questions related to the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights.
The DPO performs these duties in an independent manner and reports to the highest level of management of Bloom Rise Media.
4. When to contact the DPO
- To ask how we collect, use, store, or share your personal data.
- To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, or to withdraw consent (see Section 10 of our Privacy Policy).
- To request deletion of your data (see our Data Deletion Instructions).
- To raise a concern or complaint about how your data is handled.
- To report a suspected data breach or security issue involving personal data.
- To ask about data we received from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) when a client connected an account or when you submitted a Meta Lead Ad form.
5. Why the GDPR applies to us
Although Bloom Rise Media is established in the United States, the GDPR applies to the processing of personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) where that processing relates to offering goods or services to them or monitoring their behavior (Article 3 GDPR). This can occur, for example, when a client connects a Meta Business asset that includes data about people in the EEA, or when EEA visitors interact with the websites and landing pages we operate. In those cases we apply the GDPR safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, including a lawful basis for processing, data-subject rights, and Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
6. Lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority
We encourage you to contact the DPO first so we can resolve your concern directly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority:
- EEA residents: your local Data Protection Authority. A directory is available from the European Data Protection Board at edpb.europa.eu.
- United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
- Virginia residents: the Office of the Virginia Attorney General at oag.state.va.us.
- California residents: the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov.
